Rs.39,000 Inc. Tax

The Dravidian culture had its very own, rich tradition of dance, music, literary and other artistic forms to explore the aesthetic. This is a great source of the South Indian forms of art that are prevalent today. This picture explores a very popular form of the South Indian dance, the Manipuri style through its great focus on a rich detailing. The costumes have been conceptualized, developed and painted strictly keeping in accordance with the prevalent traditions of the system. A number of colors have been used that make frequent appearances within the art of this region as well as other forms of performance include reality. Gold is a color that is also considered to be greatly auspicious here and has been used predominantly in the painting. The other props including the jewelry have also been developed with great attention and the different poises of the hand and the feet are typical to the form of dance that is being explored through this painting. The sense of reality has been preserved not only through the detailing but also through the space that has been meticulously divided in to a background, mid ground and ultimately a foreground. The peacock has been used in order to add a sense of realism to the open air space.
